Luca's smile

I love his little smile-- I love the ones where Luca give a rather genuine smile and not his cheezzzy smile. I tried to take a pic of the both of them, but Allegra is screamy-crying next to time in this shot. I had to crop this image cause Luca looks so cute.

The Blues

Mary, the kids day care provider/sitter, occasionally sends me pictures during the day. I think she is trying to help me get through the day with out seeing my children. She understands how hard it can be to have to be away from them all day long. I don't like it at all, but cannot make a change right now. I know they are in a good place during the day, but I miss them terribly and just want more time with them. So I love when I get a picture from her of them. She sent this to me on Tuesday.

Luca still doing that "cheezzzy" smile and Allegra just as happy as can be. He's really sweet with her too, for the most part and most of the time.. Luca is going to preschool a couple times a week and on Tuesday they had pajama day where they go to wear their PJ to school. Fun. Luca was so excited!!!!

I love this picture

Picture taken recently by Owen (brother-in-law) at Ellen and Owen's house in the country. They have a beautiful place with lot's a land and a pond that they can go visit ( I think the neighbors actually own it). I love this picture--love the laughter and joy on Luca's face and the mother/child thing. I love us on the swing and his little legs and feet.

Such a bright and sunny image :)

Thomas the Train

Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine

Somewhere around the third week of May, Bea and Poppa treated Luca and the rest of us to a Day out with Thomas. It was near their house in the Cuyahoga National Recreation Area.

Day at the park

Day at the park with the kids. The park is located directly across the street from our new house, so we are able to go over there whenever we feel the need for a swing or a slide. It's quite nice to have a park so near by--actually it is a fairly infrequently used Athens City park, so it feels like our own private playground. I think these were taken sometime around mid-May (notice Luca's long hair....)

Sunday ride in the wagon

It's been awhile...

Sorry, it's been some time since i have posted anything--especially pictures. A lot has happened since the last I wrote. We moved into our new house and are STILL trying to find things like the iron (yes, occasionally I iron, but this was for a craft project--more on that later) and the hair dryer and the sunscreen (at least 3-4 bottles of if somewhere). Luca also had a birthday and is now 3 years old-where had the time gone? I cannot believe it! It feels like yesterday that he was at the stage that Allegra is at now. As for Allegra--she is such a happy little girl ( most of the time). She just got her firs tooth and is crawling everywhere, even up the stairs, pulling her self up to stand, doing some cruising, and after every toy car that Luca owns. "Mom, do SOMETHING about Allegra, she is getting my cars!!!!" this is heard quite often in our house.
I started teaching a class at Hocking College, nearby to Athens, in the evenings (two days a week) and that kept everyone very busy and upset most schedules. Done with that for the summer and hoping to continue this in the coming year.

I promise to post more and more often. I am going to try to use this as a place to post picture on a regular basis. Check back again....

I saw this the other day and it has really stuck with me. I cannot seem to get in out of my head and think about the quote often.
