Luca's Scientist Fairy Journal

Luca asked me to make him a book, his own personal journal. He said he wanted it to be a scientist journal, no wait, a scientist fairy journal. He wants to go out exploring for fairies and whatever else we see. He wanted one that is similar to the book that his class is enamored with at school right now.

So, since this is what I do right now, I made him journal. It has LOTS of pockets of varying shapes and sized, made out of a variety of materials--cardstock, paper, mylar (see-through). There are paperclips and ever a stick!. Luca keeps asking what he can do with the stick--really wants to do something cool with it. We keep telling him to think of things he could do with it and that is will come in handy for just the right thing when necessary. There are little daily observations card in there to record day, time, location and weather and whatever we are observing. We will paste them in and hopefully a picture to go along with it. The one thing it is missing is a map of our Athens county area that we can look at and write about what we discover. Luca's adventures being......
